How to access the service
Before attending the Emergency Department, patients are required to contact us for screening purposes, to be triaged by the Emergency Department team and to receive an appointment.
This is to reduce the time patients spend in the Emergency Department when they arrive and to reduce interaction with other patients and staff.
All patients must complete a Covid-19 screening form prior to attending.
The service is predominantly for patients 16 years and over.
Children 5-16 years, with minor injuries will be seen.
Insurance
Not all services are covered by health insurance. To find out if you are covered, contact your health insurance provider before your appointment.
Payment
All patients who attend our Emergency Department will need to pay a consultation fee of €175 with a GP referral letter or €225 without a GP referral letter at the time of their appointment. You will also need to pay for any tests you have during your appointment. (You may be able to claim back these costs on your insurance or your taxes using a Med 1 form).
