This dedicated service is for patients with urgent cardiac symptoms,
- Chest Pain
- Palpitations/arrhythmia
- Breathlessness (cardiac related)
Patients can expect a preliminary assessment which typically includes,
- History and physical examination
- ECG
- Blood tests
A Cardiologist will then review the assessment results and consult the patient.
The team may also suggest other cardiac diagnostics, specific to the patient's clinical requirements, these could include,
- BP Monitor
- Echocardiogram
- Holter Monitor
- Stress test
Should cardiac issues be ruled out, the non-cardiac causes of the symptoms will also be assessed. A letter will then be sent to the patients GP.
