World Patient Safety Day is a World Health Organisation initiative which was developed to raise global awareness of the concepts of Patient Safety. Galway Clinic celebrated World Patient Safety Day 2021 by recognising staff commitment to Patient Safety. There were a number of initiatives, some of these are as follows:
· The Quality and Patient Safety Department launched their 5 year strategy of :
INGENUITY, DATA AGILITY, TRANSFORMATION
· A new initiative “Coffee le Chéile” was established - an informal collaboration of the multidisciplinary team to generate rich discussion regarding the concepts of Patient Safety.
· A video was produced demonstrating Galway Clinics commitment to Patient Safety
· Departmental Patient Safety Competition
