Mr Zulfiqar Ali is a consultant Neurosurgeon; he has worked as a locum consultant Neurosurgeon in National Neurosurgical Centre at Beaumont hospital Dublin and has vast experience of dealing with neurosurgical complex cases in Beaumont hospital. He was also appointed as clinical lecturer and spinal fellow in the department of Neurosciences at the Royal college of Surgeons of Ireland, where he formally received training to deal with complex spinal cases. His main specialties include complex spinal surgery, vascular neurosurgery (intracranial aneurysms, arterio-venous malformations), base of skull surgery (tumours both benign and malignant) and traumatic brain injury. He has Special interest in Complex spine, spinal tumors, spinal trauma, cervical and lumbar disc, cervical artificial discs, keyhole microsurgery and neurosurgery for pain. Mr Ali delivers the advantages of rapid recovery to patients through use of minimally invasive, microscope-assisted surgical techniques. Minimally invasive surgery results in less pain, trauma and scarring, and a more functional recovery. A hallmark of Mr Ali's practice is outpatient neck and back surgery.
