The Galway Clinic provides patient care services on a day and in-patient basis
Since our opening in 2004 the Galway Clinic has treated over half a million patents in the Galway Clinic. It is our pleasure to welcome you to the Galway Clinic. 

The processes of welcoming patients before surgery, caring for them following surgery and attending to their needs before discharge are carefully designed and planned. 

Patient feedback is always welcomed as an opportunity for improvement. Each patient will be given a patient satisfaction survey to fill out during their stay. 

Our main focus is “patient-centered” care at the Galway Clinic. We pride ourselves in sharing with you our unique set of values and we will care for you at a time when you are most vulnerable in a professional, caring and competent manner.


In Your Room



Whether you are staying in a private room or a semi private room each patient can access their own private T.V, radio, phone & internet system located by your bedside. Headphones are also supplied to all patients. 

A nurse call bed is located at your beside and in the case of an emergency there is also one located in your ensuite bathroom. 

Fresh towels and toiletries are provided to you on a daily basis. Please feel free to bring additional toiletries if you require them. 

A safe is located in all single occupancy rooms and for patients staying in multiple occupancy rooms there is a safe located in the nurse’s station. 


Meal Times For patients



During your stay a menu for Breakfast, Lunch and Tea will be provided to you on a daily basis. A wide variety of hot and cold meals are available throughout the day. 

If you have any specific dietary requirements that are not mentioned on our menus please feel free let our staff know and we would be happy to prepare a meal for you. 

All meals are prepared fresh in the Galway Clinic each day. Meals will be delivered to your room at the following times:

Breakfast 8:00am
Lunch 12.30pm
Tea: 5.00pm
Tea/Coffee 7.30pm


Restaurant & Coffee Dock



Our restaurants is located on the first floor and is open from 8.00am until 9pm Monday to Friday and 9.00am to 5.00pm Saturday, Sundays and Bank Holidays. Our restaurant offers both hot and cold meals throughout the day. 

Our Coffee Dock is located on the second floor in the Galway Clinic and is open from 11.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday. The coffee dock provides specialised coffees, deserts, pastries as well as fresh fruit smoothies. 

A shop is located on the ground floor of the Galway Clinic, it is open 8.00am to 7.30pm Monday to Friday and 10.00am to 5.30pm Saturday, Sundays and Bank Holidays. 

A mobile shop will visit all wards on a daily basis. Newspapers, drinks, fruit & snacks are all available. 


Mass In The Galway Clinic


Mass is celebrated every day in the hospital chapel at 10.30am. Mass can also be viewed on your TV monitor each day. 

Communion is distributed daily before mass. Eucharistic Adoration takes place in the chapel each Wednesday at 7pm. 

Our Chaplain and the Church of Ireland Rector can be contacted by Reception if required.
